connecting a new band to its fans
The site launch and sign up form were very successful. The band quickly build up their mailing list with more members than even the more established bands. The website is essential for booking venues, selling concert tickets, merchandise, and as a hub to keep the fans informed of the band's activities.
Introduce the brand new band to build up excitement, grow a fan base and recognition.
I did research at the start of the project by interviewing the band members and some fans. i created personas and empathy maps to understand the users and keep the focus on them.
Also, I attended the band's performances :)
After conducting the preliminary research, I analyzed the findings and laid out the desired outcome and user benefits. Based on the research and input from the band, I put all the findings together on the Lean UX Canvas board. Although I didn't work on an Agile team as usual, I really appreciate the canvas for its succinctness.
I shared all the artifacts with the band through InVision which we used for collaboration throughout the project.
I brainstormed several ideas alone, then shared them with the band.
In the process I created flow charts, site map, wireframes and mockups using OmniGraffle, Adobe Photoshop and InVision.
I created a responsive interactive prototype using InVision to be used for testing.
I tested the interactive prototype with fans through InVision.
Attended more performances :)
I did some changes based on the test findings, after which I developed and launched the site.
